History

The Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences established a Core Research Laboratory in 2012 with the aim of strengthening research and technology infrastructures and facilitating communication between colleges and research centers. It was attempted to help academic and industrial researchers in conducting their specialized laboratory experiments. In fact, focus on the process of science production, converting it to technology, and finally manufacturing high quality products results in the economic power of advances and developing countries. The factor that guarantees the dynamism of these knowledge-based societies is creative and up-to-date management along with continuous supervision and improvement.
The idea of establishing a core research laboratory also comes from a critical and analytical approach to the subject over the last two or three decades. The cost of development and maintenance of new technologies and advanced research equipment is really high and also needs skillful specialists. Moreover, each research institute cannot purchase the needed equipment independently and separately due to economic reasons. The main aim of establishing this core research laboratory was to cope with this problem and also optimize the research process in knowledge-based communities, universities, and research centers. The core research laboratory minimizes the cost of purchasing equipment and employing trained human resources through using the knowledge and ability of specialists in different majors in a single unit; as a result, optimum efficacy is also achieved.
Tabriz University of Medical Sciences established the core research laboratory to help researchers through providing the required equipment and services, and also increase productivity among different colleagues and research centers.
